What To Expect At Your First Visit
Your paperwork will be sent to you ahead of time so it's done before you ever walk in, though there are still a few documents that need an in-person signature. Because of this, plan to arrive a few minutes early on your first visit.
Once you're back, we'll spend 10-15 minutes on a detailed history. Dr. Dallas lets you tell your story first, without interrupting, before he starts asking his own questions. Between your intake paperwork and that conversation, he'll usually have what he needs to move into your exam.
The physical exam is thorough by design. It includes orthopedic and neurological testing, parts of the SFMA (a global movement screen), and objective testing of strength and range of motion using VALD equipment. From there, Dr. Dallas will walk you through his clinical impression, get you adjusted, and go over a proposed care plan while you're still feeling the benefit of that first adjustment.
You will be treated on your first visit. The only exception is if Dr. Dallas feels it's unsafe to proceed until imaging is done, which is uncommon.
